MD ZOO: Wine in the Wilderness

THE MARYLAND ZOO: Wine in the WIlderness

Sip your way through scenic sections of the Zoo at Wine in the Wilderness, a 21+ event! Grab a glass of wine, then kick back with your picnic blanket or lawn chair and soak in the sounds of live music beneath twinkling tree lights. Best of all? Every ticket supports vital animal care and conservation efforts. So, wine not join us for an unforgettable evening of sips, sights, and good company?

  • FUZZIES slingin’ burgers all day!

  • PICKUP ORDERS can be placed in-person at the kiosk only.

  • Unlimited sampling: Enjoy as many wine samples as you’d like. Tickets include 3 full glass vouchers as well. (Purchase a ticket upgrade for a keepsake tumbler!)

  • Camp out: Guests are more than welcome to bring snacks, lawn chairs, and blankets. (No outside alcohol is allowed in the Zoo.)

  • Live music & rides: Enjoy unlimited train rides included with your ticket, as well as access to food trucks and live music.

  • Access to habitats: Guests will have access to portions of the Zoo during the event, including the Maryland Wilderness, Farmyard, Penguin Coast, and Northern Passage (closes at dusk).

  • Full bottles for purchase: Want a few more glasses? Share a bottle with friends! (Guests are not permitted to leave with bottles, opened or sealed).

  • Please note: This is an evening event and we cannot guarantee that all animals will be viewable. Please wear proper footwear as parts of the event take place in wooded areas of the Zoo. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend. Don’t forget to bring your ID! Guests will not be permitted in the event area without proof of age.

  • ANIMAL KEEPER CHAT & ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE:

    • 5:45 – 6:15: Animal Ambassadors at Paw Print Park

    • 5:45 – 6:15: Crane Barn keeper chat

    • 6:00 – 8:00: Charm City Trivia at the Picnic Pavilion (prizes for winners!)

    • 6:30 – 7:00: Flamingo keeper chat

    • 7:15 – 8:00: Hellbender keeper chat

​It's time to Unlock the Block! Stand With Crypto is coming to Baltimore on Saturday, August 30 for a free block party like no other. There will be live music, good vibes, and a powerful message: Maryland's crypto community is growing and here to stay.

On July 29, Lafayette Visits Havre de Grace on the last leg of his Farewell Tour!
Enjoy a pleasant evening with Lafayette along the beautiful Havre de Grace riverfront and end your day with an amazing Fireworks display!

  • FUZZIES slingin’ burgs to fuel the fun!

  • At 7:00, follow the crowd to Concord Point Park (352 Commerce Street, Havre de Grace, MD) for a concert, live music and FIREWORKS!

  • Enjoy Tyler Diaz’s interpretation of the music of Francis Johnson, an African American composer who wrote music for Lafayette’s tour and whose band performed in Havre de Grace in the 1840s. Diaz will present a concert on the stage at the  Park from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

  • A brass group—The Big Green Machine—will play
    compositions by Francis Johnson at the nearby Concord Point Lighthouse.

  • Enjoy live music from No Boundaries, food vendors, and children’s activities at this site as well as you wait for dusk and FIREWORKS!

  • Be one of the cheering citizens waving flags and greeting Lafayette as he arrives by boat at Frank Hutchins Park (100 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD). Period attire is welcomed!

  • Walk with him the short block to Graw Alley at Harmer’s Town Art Center and join in his amazement at this charming park bordered by vivid murals of Havre de Grace’s rich history and appreciate his delight in finding his mural on a wall!

  • Hear his reflection on his multiple visits to the area during the “war years.”

  • Enjoy music from a local band and the Park’s ambiance as you dine from food trucks and enjoy a beer garden.

  • Visit with local vendors, authors, and merchants.

  • Enjoy family-friendly activities: games, crafts, face painting, balloon art.

  • And, that is not all! End your day with a big BANG with concert & fireworks at Concord Point Park 7PM!
